Multicopters, drones, quadcopters. These little aircraft are all a new breed of radio control (RC) fun that are rapidly gaining in popularity. But with newness, there is limited information available on these systems. This is particularly true for newcomers who wish to participate, but do not understand how to get started. But first be forewarned, this is a very addicting hobby. Once you start... eh, you'll find out.

Pros
- Good looking flying model of the Maule MX-7-180B STOL aircraft.
- Weighs only 97 grams with battery installed. Does NOT require registration or remote ID (RID) in most countries.

- True four channel airplane with throttle, elevator, rudder, and aileron control.
- Constructed of flexible and crash resistant EPP foam.
- Plenty of power from its 1504 KV4700 brushed motor, even when powered by its 1S battery.
- Three selectable flight modes. Novice 6G mode includes full 6 axis stabilization (3 axis gyro and 3 axis accelerometer). Also includes angle restrictions that prevent the aircraft rolling or pitching over. Intermediate "Gyro auxiliary mode" mode also includes 6 axis stabilization, but turns off pitch angle restrictions to allow aerobatic loop stunts. "3D manual mode" turns off all stabilization for fully aerobatic manual flying.
- Controller also includes a stunt button that allows the airplane to automatically conduct loops and aileron rolls.
- Efficient flier. It's 3.7V 500mah battery (size 851740) provides up to 14 minutes of flight time.
Cons
- Controller does not have any telemetry warnings. But it does give a beep every minute to allow the pilot to estimate flight time for battery preservation.
- The tail surface controls (rudder and elevator) do not provide very much movement (control authority) with their stock installed outboard position on the control horns. This causes very poor turning of the plane, especially when in 6G mode. It's best to move them to their full inboard position to provide much better movement of the surfaces, and thus better turning.
- Although based on a STOL aircraft, this plane will easily stall at low speeds, even in 6G mode. It's best to keep some throttle and speed on the plane (50% or better) to prevent these stalls.

I think that you're confusing 4G/5G phone data networks with 5Ghz Wifi. The "G" in 4G and 5G refers to technology "Generation". 5G is the fifth generation data network. 5Ghz WiFi is a totally different thing and is unrelated to 4G/5G data networks. Specifically, this drone requires a phone capable of using 802.11ac WiFi (which happens to operate on 5Ghz frequency). To see if your phone uses 802.11ac WiFi, simply search your phone's name along with the terms 802.11 and specifications. See if 802.11ac shows up in the search results.

The Ranger 600 has been the best RC plane I ever owned. It crashed landed in the lake a few times, electrical parts shorted out because of water damage but after it completely dried out, it still performed great. 👍 I actually had multiple ones and one of them never worked after it crashed in the lake. I got a replacement one that still performed after it touched the water.

How do I know when the battery is full/done charging?
The charger beeps, and the charging light turns from red to green. I still own and use this charger quite regularly. It's a very good one.

You've put up a lot of strange posts here mate. I'm trying to work out if you are just a poor fellah with some mental disabilities or you really did find some genuine problem with this plane when you received it. A sensible description of what's wrong with yours would decide the issue in your favour and might even allow somebody to offer some sensible advice. If the former then allow me to extend my sympathies. We none of us know when we are truly well off!

So really quick I just got this drone. And I have pretty well top of the line phone wifi and all that and it won't connect and everytime I open the app for the camera it just shuts down right away. And the other thing is the battery pack won't turn off. And the other 2 it came with won't stay on. It comes on bit then goes off
First, make sure that you first open your phone's WiFi settings, and connect to the drone's WiFi signal the same way that you would connect to your home WiFi (no password needed). After connecting, wait about 10 seconds to see if your phone warns that they're no internet in the signal (which is correct). If you get that warning, make sure to select "Stay connected anyways". Then open the app. The drone's video should now be viewable in the app. If you're already doing this, or if your still having problems with the app, then I recommend that you try a different phone.
Regarding the batteries, if you're certain that you've charged them, try a quick press of the on/off button, immediately followed by a long 3 second press.

I had the white 3 channel version. Does it feel a bit top heavy or is it just my lack of experience? The front prop XK800 was smooth as butter as a comparising, but the quality is so bad I will not by it again. Can I attach a small camera system to the motherboard or battery on it?

I love that you can turn off the lights. On the umx Turbo Timber Evolution, it has a total of 8 lights, and you CANT turn them off!! I cant even fly in the dark, i have astigmatism. It only kills battery life.

Solid red light means the device has malfunctioned. You can't fix it. Instead, contact customer service for the vendor that you purchased it from (Amazon or Potensic) for a refund or replacement. If you purchased directly from Potensic, email them at info@potensic.com . If you purchased from Amazon, click on "Returns and Orders" in upper right corner, find your order, and click on "Return or replace items".
